Fifth Street Pedestrian Bridge Permitting Update

The City of Miami Beach’s highly anticipated Fifth Street Pedestrian Bridge is set to be a striking new landmark at the southern entrance to Miami Beach. Designed by world-renowned French artist Daniel Buren, the bridge will combine bold art with practical urban infrastructure, offering a new gateway to South Beach. As part of the broader project, Witkin + Gallo Permit Doctor Concierge manages the permitting process to ensure a smooth development.

This exciting construction, which is expected to span approximately 18 months and conclude in summer/fall 2026, will include the continued maintenance and updates to surrounding infrastructure, including the storm sewer lines near the Alton Road ramp. With construction primarily occurring on weekdays, the permitting team works closely with the City of Miami Beach to navigate zoning, closures, and all necessary approvals.
